So we heard PERB had a meeting yesterday and STILL NOTHING! Now my husband will need to wait and see what they get.....hmmm you think the bank that holds my mortgage will WAIT, I think NOT! Maybe the city wants "give backs"? Meanwhile it will be business as usual in my home. My husband will go to work, work as much OT as they allow him and work as much paid detail as he can....outcome you ask ? Living paycheck to paycheck!
Can I be the first to say "thank you" to TPTB for:
1) My husband risking his life everyday to protect and serve this "great city"
2) Spending NO time with his family (ex. missing his sons little league games)
3) Being exhausted after working crazy amount of hours for little pay
How do you like these 3 "Give Backs"?
All I have let to say is WTF!!
*On a side note I appreciate everyone that comments. It is nice to see I am not alone in this fight for a pay increase for "New York's Finest" aka "New York's POOREST"

25,000 and you are able to obtain welfare - how can the city do this to the people who put their lives on the line and protect the city everyday.
Lots of cops are leaving the NYPD for better paying police departments day in and day out. It is hurting the NYPD and the candidates are getting worse.
I just wish the city would agree on a contract already.
Jessica...you are so correct the candidates are getting worse and it is a shame that the city does not care enough and letting these cops leave. Pay them already...remember 9-11. I just the city forgot what these Police Officers did for the city...it's a shame!
